In this great void, on the throne of Nothingness, there is Divinity. When we come to accept the space, the Nothingness,
It is not empty; it has everything in it.
It was an honour to be invited as the official photographer for Voidborn @amsterdam_blast_events! Musically speaking, it was delicious! Someone mentioned that the average bpm for the night was 190!! #hitech
As a photographer, it was challenging due to the low light and flashing strobe lights. I prefer not to use flash if I can avoid it, as I believe it disrupts the authentic experience of people. I love low-light photography; the creative possibilities are endless with minimal lighting, and quite a challenge to get it right! And most importantly, the moments of Bliss when the audience connects as One with the music - this is truly beautiful! 🌟

I asked myself what it is that I like to photograph in musical events. There are these brief moments of Bliss that arise from the ecstasy of Nothingness, when the mind merges with Beingness..
In that instant, One is open, receptive
Bursting alive with possibilities
For a brief moment,
In the Eternal now
There is a glimpse of Self
That moment has great potential for Awareness to become aware of itself and experience itself. Bliss is just the byproduct of this direct experience 🌻
This is what I like to observe and share with you, the radiant Beauty of this gap of no-mind, remembrance of the Eternal Echoes of Beingness, tucked away in plain sight behind the protective clutches of the mind :))
Most people are afraid of emptiness.
The need to remain busy arises from the fear of emptiness. Deep down, when the mind quiets down, when the defenses are dropped and when we drop the layers of personality acquired through a lifetime of living, we come face to face with a great emptiness.
In this great void, on the throne of Nothingness, there is Divinity. When we come to accept the space, the Nothingness, it is not empty; it has everything in it.
This is the complete dissolution of the mind; the Ego has no active function beyond this point. Mind is still used, but like a bird soaring through the skies, there is simply flying, awareness of the wind is directly met with bodily response, there is no thoughts about how to fly, no recollections about falls.
The Eternal now, fresh, alive and unique. The mind becomes part of the whole natural mechanism of the body, like breathing, the body knows how to do it. In a sense, there is death, death of identity, the dissolution of the ignorance “I am the doer” and merging into the Light of Being. Eternal Bliss is experienced. This is what you would call Enlightenment. Beyond this point, as the Deathless is experienced, time and identity dissolve. There is only the recognition of the Self as All, in the void of Nothingness. The ultimate paradox.
From this emptiness arises a profound choice: Eternal Bliss or suffering. It is natural to hold onto identity, as fear of time and death emerges from the Unknown. Witness the mind’s attachment to suffering as a means of preserving identity—it’s okay. With love, observe the mind’s survival mechanisms, understand their origins, and allow them to unfold.
Like a bird adjusting effortlessly to the wind, simply being aware of these patterns allows right action to emerge naturally, without effort or thought.
What to do? Nothing.
Live, live, live ever so fully that
when the time is right,
when the time dissolves,
when the Void comes for you,
You may go without looking back,
Into the Nothingness of Everything.
